Planning the Plan

So, you’ve been handed the yearbook duties. Now what?
The first thing you need to do is create a yearbook account with a company that makes the process easy and prints a book of exceptional quality! Oh, you already have a Picaboo Yearbooks account? GREAT! The rest will be easy.
Seriously, we’re going to help you every step of the way. Let’s start by making plans for the beginning of the year. Doing these 5 things now will make the rest of the year go smoothly:
1 – Sign your agreement
If you haven’t signed your agreement this year, contact your CSS (Don’t have a CSS? No worries. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 855.537.0050 and we will hook you up!) It only takes a few minutes to complete and it will help save you time and money!
2 – Turn in your tax exemption
“Taxes? But, we’re a school!” Did you know that even if your organization is exempt for purchases, it may not be exempt for resell? Check with your group’s bookkeeper to find out if you are required to collect taxes. (Also, check with your CSS – Picaboo only collects tax in 15 states).
3 – Get ready to fill up your calendar
One of the best things about working with Picaboo Yearbooks is that we have NO deadlines! You create your book, in your time, and order when you are ready! But, it’s still a good idea to set up a calendar of dates that work for you. Determine what date you want to hand out your yearbooks, and work backward to know when specific things should happen.
4 – Complete your ladder
No physical exercise involved! This ladder is a page by page guide of what goes in your book, and in what order. There is a downloadable .pdf here: https://picaboo.app.box.com/s/nucyqm10ys4j7bxde8jp9gh2gev0vgsn
5 – What’s a yearbook without pictures?
Just a book. Ensure coverage of your entire year by giving your students and parents several ways to share images you can use in the yearbook. Download the Skipple app. Ask about our Vidigami photo collection program. Direct parents to the photo share link at the bottom of your storefront page. With so many ways to collect images, your problem won’t be having too few images, it will be having too many! That’s always a better problem to have.
I promised it would be easy!
