Pinterest Picks : Utilizing Negative Space

In design, there is positive space and negative space. Positive space is an object or word, or anything in your design, while negative space is the “empty” space that surrounds it. Recently, a trend of creating designs, words or images from the negative space has emerged. While you’ve certainly used positive space when designing your yearbook, utilizing negative space is a great way to give your pages a unique and creative spin!

If you’re designing with the Picaboo Yearbooks app, use the “Reverse Type” function to get the look!
