Let’s Get Personal: Personalized Yearbooks

personal pages 1Gone are the days when a yearbook is exactly the same for every single student in the school. In the 21st Century, there is now this super awesome feature in yearbooks called “personal pages.” Well, at least at Picaboo Yearbooks there is!

It’s Your Story, Tell It!

Picaboo offers four free pages to each individual student who buys a copy of the yearbook for them to customize.

Here’s how it works. Let’s say your school has decided to use Picaboo Yearbooks as their yearbook publisher this year. Towards the middle of the year, the yearbook staff makes the announcement about the four free personal pages and posts flyers around the school reminding students to start creating their pages. On one afternoon, you have some free time, so you decide to get online and see what these pages are all about.

You have been putting this off for a while now because you fear that it’s going to take a lot of time and effort to figure out the complicated design software. Yet, once you get online, you’re more than pleasantly surprised. Picaboo Yearbook’s web-based design program isn’t complicated at all. In fact, it’s very easy to use. Before you know it, you’re uploading your personal photos, choosing backgrounds, adding captions, penning creative headlines, and writing fun and witty descriptions for your pages. You’re even adding QR codes to include links to the videos that you recorded on your smart phone.

Recording Your Own Memoriespersonal pages 2

The best part about these “personal pages” is that they are a representation of your memories not just the memories decided upon by the yearbook staff. On these personal pages, you can include fun weekend outings to the beach with your friends. You can showcase your favorite group dates. You can highlight the adventures in your favorite classes, after-school clubs, and even part-time jobs. The possibilities are endless and the memories are yours! You can even collaborate with your friends and make the pages together if you don’t want to design them solo.
